Brand Photos for Business Coaches
I’ve searched online for many business coaches in my time, and the ones that have stood out to me the most are the ones who make the intentional effort of connecting on a personal level, through brand photos and videos. I already feel like I know them, as if we’d previously met at a couple of networking events, because their websites and social media platforms are curated with professional photos. And not just a headshot, but candid photos that show them laughing and just being ‘real’ people.
Choosing a business coach or a life coach is a very personal thing, so it’s important that I feel personally connected to them right from the get-go. Photos help me do just that, which will then encourage me to book that discover call, which will then help me decide if we’re going to be a good fit working together (if, of course, the person on the call matched the persona that was presented to me on the website!)
So what type of brand photos are best for business coaches?
1. Natural and authentic lifestyle photos
As I mentioned before, people need to personally connect with you, so choose a brand photographer that will bring out your best and authentic YOU. Natural lifestyle photos are great for showing your personal side. You could show youself working with a client, what you like to do on in your spare time, what your favourite foods and drinks are, and even your fluffy four-legged business partner. Not only will these more candid brand photos highlight your personal side, but having an action, or an activity to do will help put you at ease so you can be yourself and actually have fun!
2. Lots of photo content
Because it takes time to create a personal connection with a potential client, business coaches often need to show up consistently over a long period of time to nuture online relationships. That mean you need to have LOTS of content. This can be a combination of selfies on your stories or reels, live or pre-recorded videos, behind the scenes content, professional photos and headshots. Whatever your favourite content recipe is, would it be easier to have it all ready to go in your own personal content pantry? Whether its smaller brand photo sessions done quarterly, or big full day sessions where we create a year’s worth of content for your busy schedule, I find that creating with intention will give you the extensive range of content you need as a business coach.
This particular session was for Kasey, who chose my Luxe full day brand experience. Having everything taken care of for her - hair, makeup, stunning location, lunch, coffees - and getting it all done in one day, really suited her! And she loved it!!
3. Professional headshots
As well as personally connecting with you, potential clients also want to be assured that you’re professional and credible. Yes, you may share the same taste in lattes and leisure acitvities, but will you actually provide a professional experience? This is where those headshots - or ‘looking at the camera’ photos - help to elevate your brand. They set you apart as a professional and are perfect for using on your LinkedIn profile, Instagram pofile, your email signature and any PR or media kits you create.
Whatever your particular needs are as a business coach or a life coach, let’s chat so I can best customise a photo shoot that suits you. Your clients will love to connect with you more through your new brand photos, and you’ll actually have fun - I promise!
